I spent 15 years working in just about every aspect of nonprofit organizational life, from visioning to fundraising to boots on the ground operations. My academic and professional focus has always been on helping communities classified as “deeply divided” build sustainable strategies that are context rooted, culturally sensitive and power aware. I believe foundationally that the best work is people-centered and committed to dignity for all, regardless of proposed outcomes, and true of both for- and non-profit endeavors. If building revolutionary systems of collective care is your jam, I’d love to work with you.

A not exhaustive list of areas I can provide counsel:

  • Program development (any stage)

  • Understanding power in organizations; building power within and beyond organizations

  • Systems analysis: what work is our work connected to? How and why?

  • Creating cultures of care

  • Resource prioritization

  • Bad money/good cause: navigating funding and financial priorities justly
